How Kamani Living helps you open a UAE salary account.
A UAE bank account is needed for salary payments, direct debits and daily life. Kamani Living will arrange a dedicated banker, and the People Team will connect you with a banking contact who can explain the account options.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
- Original passport and a copy.
- Emirates ID or proof that the application is in progress.
- Residence visa once issued.
- Salary certificate from the People Team; request this from Tania after the visa is complete.
- Proof of address, such as a tenancy contract or utility bill, or an HR letter confirming employment and accommodation.
Things to Know
- The bank needs your Emirates ID number, even if the physical card has not arrived.
- Salary accounts are typically free when your salary is paid monthly through WPS.
- Send your IBAN and account details to the People Team immediately so payroll can be updated.
- Set up your bank’s mobile app as soon as the account is active.
Your company-provided GlobeMed FIT health insurance and how to use it.
Once your Emirates ID is issued, you are covered by the Kamani Living group health insurance policy. The People Team will send your GlobeMed FIT policy card, coverage terms and setup guide. Your full coverage is set out in the Terms of Business attached to your welcome email.

Using Insurance from Day One
- Use a GlobeMed network provider whenever possible; non-network care may require upfront payment or may not be covered.

- Present your insurance card at every appointment.
- When required, clinics request pre-authorisation for treatment beyond a standard GP visit.

- In an emergency, go directly to the nearest hospital emergency department and do not wait for pre-authorisation.
Hiring a car when you first arrive and applying for a UAE driving licence.
During your first month, you may be able to hire a car using an international driving licence, so bring the relevant documents with you.
New UAE residents with a licence from an approved country may be eligible to exchange it for a UAE licence without taking classes or tests. You can complete the exchange at an RTA Happiness Centre, and it typically takes around an hour.

- Eye test, which can be completed on site.
- Original valid Emirates ID.
- Check the Roads and Transport Authority service details to confirm your eligibility before attending.
